Getting Around Paris
Paris is one of the easiest major cities in Europe to explore without a car.
The Metro is fast, inexpensive, and connects nearly every neighborhood and major attraction. We primarily walked and used the Metro, with Uber for late evenings after visiting cocktail bars.
If it's your first visit, consider starting with an electric bike tour. It's an excellent way to orient yourself while covering much more ground than walking alone.

For travelers staying near the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme, many of the city's best restaurants, cocktail bars, and shopping districts are within walking distance.

Best Time to Visit Paris
Paris is beautiful year round, but each season offers a different experience.
Spring (April–May) is our favorite time to visit. Gardens around the Eiffel Tower and Luxembourg Gardens are in bloom, café terraces fill with locals, and temperatures are perfect for walking or biking through the city.
Summer (June–August) brings long evenings and outdoor events, but also the largest crowds and highest hotel prices. Many Parisians leave the city in August, and some smaller restaurants close for vacation.
Fall (September–October) combines comfortable weather with colorful parks and one of the best seasons for wine lovers, especially if you're planning a Champagne day trip.
Winter (November–December) offers festive Christmas markets, beautiful holiday lights, and fewer tourists. Luxury hotels often become a better value during this season.

If we returned tomorrow, these are the experiences we'd repeat without hesitation:
Sunset picnic along the Seine with Champagne, cheese, and fresh baguettes.
