Kinnotake Tonosawa - Ryokan - Offers one of the most relaxing luxury ryokan experiences near Tokyo, combining contemporary design with a private outdoor onsen in every suite. Surrounded by forest and paired with excellent kaiseki dining, it was one of the most memorable stays of our Japan trip.

Park Hyatt Kyoto  -My top pick for cultural luxury in Japan, with beautiful design, an exceptional location in Higashiyama, and one of the most memorable luxury hotel atmospheres I’ve experienced.


TOKYO
Park Hyatt Tokyo - Remains one of Tokyo’s most iconic luxury hotels, blending dramatic skyline views, understated Japanese design, and the legendary atmosphere of New York Bar. While the hotel still delivers memorable moments and cinematic ambiance, our stay felt less polished and personalized than expected compared to other recent Park Hyatt experiences.



Conrad Tokyo – A standout luxury stay with sweeping city and bay views, one of the best hotel breakfasts in Tokyo, and an overall polished, dependable experience.

Andaz Tokyo – A stylish, modern luxury hotel with one of the city’s best rooftop settings and a more contemporary feel than many traditional 5-star properties.



InterContinental Tokyo Bay – A comfortable waterfront luxury option with excellent views and a relaxing setting, especially appealing for travelers who want a quieter Tokyo base.
