The region is best known for Pinot Noir, but the style varies dramatically from vineyard to vineyard. Gibbston produces lighter, elegant wines while Bannockburn delivers richer, darker fruit with greater structure.
Because everything is within an easy drive of Queenstown, Central Otago makes one of the world's best single day wine regions.
